Built around the rural drop-off problem
The current prototype focuses on reliable parcel detection and long-range communication for properties where standard doorbell-style hardware is not enough.
Built for real-world rural delivery
ParcelGuard is a connected parcelbox designed for rural New Zealand. The working prototype already detects deliveries and reports over LoRa. The next release adds stronger security, a better screen, smarter access control, and mobile-first parcel tracking.
From prototype to product
The current prototype focuses on reliable parcel detection and long-range communication for properties where standard doorbell-style hardware is not enough.
The next version is being shaped around a secure parcel drop area with a smarter screen, stronger tamper protection, smart locking, NFC access, and app-controlled unlock flows.
A companion mobile app is planned to combine box events with courier tracking across NZ and international services, so the physical delivery and shipment status live in one place.
What ParcelGuard is becoming
Give approved access when needed, while keeping the parcel area protected by default.
Planned tamper sensing adds another signal when the box is disturbed unexpectedly.
The production direction includes a larger, more capable display for a cleaner drop-off experience.
Track conditions inside the parcel area, useful for sensitive deliveries and better device health data.
See shipment progress and physical delivery confirmation together in the mobile app.
ParcelGuard's roots are in LoRa-connected, rural-friendly deployment rather than urban-only assumptions.
